50 Cent To Judge YouTube’s Hip-Hop Contest

YouTube has just revealed a new music contest entitled, “OntheRise Rap Edition.” The goal of the contest is to find the best-unsigned hip-hop artists in the United States.

YouTube has made an agreement with 50 Cent, Polow da Don, and Common to judge the videos. The finalists will then be shown on the YouTube community for a final judgment.

Users will be able to submit original music videos from Aug. 10 through Aug. 17. The final winner will be revealed Sept. 7.

The winner will be given a trip to New Youk to record a track for G-Unit/Interscope Records, a $10,000 gift certificate to Guitar Center and a feature spot on YouTube’s homepage.
